T100 question
#4
I sold my 2003 Tundra with JBA headers, unichip, under drive pulley, ect. and bought a 1995 T100 extended cab with 3.4L and 5 speed manual. Is the power the same as the Tundra...not even close. But, I actually enjoy driving the T100 better than my old Tundra. The truck is geared surprisingly well and I've never found myself needing more power. I tuned up the truck, installed a flowmaster muffler, and opened up some restrictions in the stock airbox with my dremel tool. Overall the truck has plenty of power for decent acceleration and is especially fun to drive in the snow. I might do a set of JBA headers down the road, but we'll wait and see for now.

Hey man.. I would highly suggest getting the 3.4L 4X4 extra cab T-100. I have a 95 extra cab 3.4L 4X4 t100 and i love it. Of course the power is not going to compare the tundra with the V8. But the 3.4L is good enough for just every day driving. Actually the 3.4L is the best motor Toyota has made until the new V8. If you get it you will be very pleased with it. They are great trucks. As far as being able to supercharge it. Everyone says you can only put it on a 97 or 98 but i have a 95 and put a supercharger on it and didnt have to change anything. It worked by just bolting it on. I didnt have to change the computer or anything so i dont know why people say you can only put it on a 97 or 98. I would not suggest getting one with the 3.0L in it. They are not very strong motors. It is fine to just drive every day but they really suck if you got to pull something or go off road.

I live in Colorado and drive at high elevation all time. I noticed when I took a trip to lower elevation (north carolina), this truck seemed to turn into a "rocket" comparatively. I don't mind the 3.4L even in Colorado. The way I see it, it keeps me from driving 90mph, although it will if you want it too. Hope this perspective helps.
'95 xcab T100 3.4l 4x4
no extras, just a bunch of kayaks on the rack.
