Where is all the...

LC talk?

I've been researching them lately, because I want something a little bigger. Plus seeing my neighbors everyday adds to the want. I hoping to find the perfect 95. You know well broken end (about 100k miles), clean interior, no rust, green hopefully, and of course not thrashed. I found a 94 in the auto trader, already had the OME shocks and coils, and a snorkel, but I really want a 95 because the dash changed in 95, and I like it a little better. Oh well, I guess I'll keep looking.

Yep...I've looked through some of these. I was just curious as to why there wasn't much discussion here. But thanks for the help. I can't wait to find one.

I think its because those sites have been around for a while and have a huge tech info area. I think yotatech is only a couple of years old but it started as a site primarily for Runners and Tacos. Lord knows there is almost as little posting under the Tundra area of YT as there is in the cruiser section. I use Cruizers.com board for quick info but I too wish the people at YT would post in the cruiser section a little more. YT Members are great. I wish everyone was as cool.

The truth is we don't have that many LC owners here, as well as T100 or Tundra owners yet.

Spread the word, invite them in

The majority of the owners here do comprise of all 4 gens of the 4Runner, and all gens of the trucks from old to new Tacos.

Also YotaTech is only a little over 14 months old.

I still find it hard to believe YT is so young. Especially with all the info here. It's quite amazing if you ask me. I been on forums for years now, and I have to say this is probably the best one I've been a part of. Keep it up YT!

JSB,

Have you tried EBay? Go in there and type in Land Cruiser in the search area. Sometimes you will find a good looking cruisers in there. Oh yeah, if you really like the 95, why not look for 95 through 97, you might be lucky to find the 40th edition cruiser with the front and rear locking differentials. Or better yet, also look for 96-97 LX 450, these 450's are basically cruisers dress in a sheep skin. The only draw back on 450 is that they are very rare to have the locking diffs in them. Just my .02 cents.

BTW, I love my 450, it's not because it is a Lexus, but it's reliability and off road prowess that sold me on this vehicle, not to mention that it feels more manly to drive one of this mammoth.

Well, the old mighty dollar is causing me to look for the older year model. In all honesty, I'll probably end up with a 93-94. With the older interior. I won't go any older, because the HP drops, and I heard they're slugs. I almost bought a white 93 for 10k, but it didn't have factory lockers, nor the third row seats. I haven't decided if I want them yet, but I'd liek to have the option to use them if needed. My wife drives our Suburban, and we've used the third row on many occassions. My goal is to drive my 4Runner for about a year unless the perfect LC pops up. I'm not going to short change myself due to being in a hurry. I've done that before and it bit me. I searched 14 months to find my 94 RX-7, and it was well worth the wait. Thanks for the ebay pointer. I've been searching ever site I can think of. I often wonder if cars.com actually has all the classified ads that are in the local paper. Since the local paper website uses cars.com instead of their own classified section.

SOR, Man-a-fre, and most other have pretty decent listings. Problem is many of those guys know the LC's value!

Good Luck in your search and whatever you do.......Do not buy from Vintage Offroad in Michigan. Also check the Cruizers.com board, I think JSButcher just got burned by a place in Ft Lauderdale called Rolling Wheels. If these rumors are wrong, then please correct me but I prefer not to let my fellow YTechies get burnt!
My opinions are just that, my own. I apologize in advance if I offend someone on this board.

Also there is a place in Texas, I think its called Heart of Texas Offroad (heartoftexasoffroad.com) or something like that. They may have some newer listings!
