hot damn. Traxxas just unveiled a new truck. The summit. Check this bad boy out. It retails over a grand right now but my shop is gonna get some and I estimate we can sell it for much lower as soon as things settle down

Oh gosh, a big boys toy.
That is sweet.
Is this the 1/10 scale size?
Looks less tippy than the 1/18 scale of the Losi that has been posted in this thread.
PS, I like how you can engage/disengage the lockers, and also drive it fast when in dirt and out of the rocks.
I WANT IT

ah so good news.
my friend came over, the one that sold me the rc car. So we took apart the engine and realizedwhy it wasnt turning over. The starting pin/spring broke, so i debated if i wanted to invest anymore money into this thing so we made a gettho piece and we almost got it running then it broke. So i ordered the piece and hopefully should have it running by friday!!!! im so excited haha

This FJ Cruiser here handles almost better than the Baja Racer I got a few weeks back.
Mine can flip pretty easy since it is very fast, but you can turn a knob on the remote to make the steering radius +/- to correct flips.
Said over on the FJ forum that is is a Tamiya cc-01 chassis.
I have no clue as to what electronics or remotes the Tamiya uses.

Was checking out the Traxx stuff some more.
A nice nitro one, the T Maxx
http://www.traxxas.com/products/promo/4908_promo.htm
E Maxx in the snow and other vids of it
http://www.traxxas.com/products/video/3905emaxx/
And of course the Summit that schmooot posted a few posts back.

Shelling out a grand for the Summit is a big choice, but man, after watching that video a few times...
* Selectable locker via your remote
* Selectable drive ratio from crawl to racing also via the remote
* LED lights
That thing is cool

let me tell ya, that 'crawl' speed is about 3x faster then mine. mine will just creep forward. you gotta try a real crawler, its sooo much fun watching the suspension do its thang instead of just bouncing around.

Just got back from my local hobby shop.
I had to pick up an extra 7.4v lipo battery for my baja racer I bought a few weeks back.
I asked about the Traxx Summit that goes for $1K, and he said "sure, I can get one in if you wanna pay for it now."
Ahhhh, do not think so
Also they are still 27 MHz, they have not moved up to the new technology like Losi has with the 2.4 GHz electronics.
While I was there, he showed me a Losi 1/10 scale rig called the Desert Truck.

I am going to do some research on it and watch the video on their site and see if YouTube has any vids of it too.
It also has LED headlights on it.
Found the exact same video above on YouTube, and also two reviews.
