so this post is for some of you yotatechers , whom have asked me "how to"
so as you can see in the pics , rockers have been "worked on " and are rusted , they dont "look" bad in these pics , but there toast . I was how ever able to "salvage" enough to do the back 1/4 instead of having to make a piece .
started "cutting" out the rockers with a
spot weld bit and plasma cutter

Inners are OK .. and have been "caught in time" before they get to bad .. pics dont show , but there is some rust in there as well , I will handle this with POR15 .

some bad rust on the front as well

so I "hammered" out some new pieces .. (both sides)

Be sure to keep the original bed. I did not get the prize because I had an aftermarket bed (Reading utility box) and other significant modifications (lifted, engine wk, etc.) when I hit 1mil. My uncle took his in at 1mil all stock and body falling off the frame and got a new truck a week later!

got the front fenders finished ..
little filler on the seam , and because the owner is not going to paint the truck , I sealed them up with some epoxy primer

and with the mudflaps and inners installed , the truck is done
