got everything in the dash "mounted" today .. made all the little clips and mount brackets .. and welded them all in place . so now they can easly be removed , but wont be falling out .

I have also changed my plan for the dash .. I wont be doing the woodgrain .. I'm going to paint the main dash and center console the "inferno red" , same color as the outside , with the cover/pad being grey leather to compliment the interior all the dash trim is going to be painted black

I now just have a few little dash lamps and such to wire , and I believe then , I am ready for the tear down

working on the passenger door .. hinges are re-pinned , and as of today , the old metal , dented and starting to rust skin has been removed .. I need to still clean up the interior of the door a bit .. POR15 it .. and then I can bond the new skin on

same process as the drivers door

Hi there,
I have just joined this forum and I stumbled across this build up, I love the work you have done there, I am about to embark on a second rebuild of my 4 Runner but no where near the level you have gone to, not to mention we don't have a fibre glass manufacturing place here in Australia to do those panels, we have to find panels in good shape and use them. I wish you the best, not that you need it by the way it looks now, my hat is off to you.

Coming along very nicely, I think I will need to make up a new consul myself, the manufacturers don't cover the things I am looking to put in there, I think i have too many things in there for my own good, I try to give a look that says it was suppose to be there, rather than something added later sort of appearance. because I am using 3 radio's for comms, the 27meg SSB CB. the UHF CB. and the HF Codan set as well. plus all the entertainment stuff as well. not that it all goes into the consul, but like your dash, it has to look right before you can be happy. I am really enjoying this thread so keep up the great work.

Looking nice, good to see you're spending time on the little things that will be nice in the end. Keep up the good work.
