ok .. so basically done today .. just have to locate the sterio , (still not sure on which one I'm using ) and "finish " of the dash bezzle .. I have been thinking of a woodgrain type covering/paint .. to simulate the original , maybe the "inferno Red " paint , I was even thinking of covering it in carbon fiber ... anyway not sure

main reason I'm building it , besides being a "classic" .. is it going to be my "tow vehicle " for my Toyota 2WD "supra" charged (400HP) show truck .. that one is comming soon I promice !

I have been working with a "wood guy " ... and here is so far what we have come up with ... please ... this is NOT the final position of any of the components .. so dont look at that !! just the color is what i'm interested in !





It's a Cherry wood vaneer .. no varnish yet , so it will look a little "glossier" once done ... but it kind of gives an idea ...

I think it will really bring the INFERNO RED exterior into the interior .. I'm considering some door panel incerts as well

what do you think ?

also looking at a "tiger wood " incert as well ... so !!

modifying the dash yet again .. I just bought some new guages ..O/P , Boost , and Volt ..

so .. I 'm thinkin' .. I'm going to move the <--- sterio over and put the guages in the dash .. then , move the hazard , clock and dimmer into the original guage pod ..


problem .. is it's just to darn HOT to work !!!!!!

That's right. All we have is igloos in Canada and dogsleds for transportation. Most of us can only aspire to own those fine auto-mobiles that y'all have down there. They just freeze up solid here.

For the record, that area that Slacker's in routinely hits anywhere from the high 90's to 105-110 degrees range during the summer months.
