Just pack like you would for squaw ridge, but prepare for everything to get sandy. There will be sand in your interior, exterior, body cavities, etc for months...
The drinks are most important!! Sounds like it might rain too the first day, so bring warm stuff. Your tent I'm gonna bring has a rain fly so your literally covered there

so, got back from an awesome trip out to Pismo Dunes for the 10th Annual Ultimate Surf & Turf... this was an amazing event... MY first time on sand... definately a different experience than im used to, but i had an absolute BLAST!

only downside of the trip was my alternator ingesting copious amounts of sand and not regulating voltages too well... this in turn took out my el cheapo special battery i had... oh well... it gave me a reason to upgrade... went with the Diehard Platinum P-5 which is the EXACT same thing as an Odyssey P1400... little bit smaller physically, but will allow me to run the dual battery setup that i posted a few posts above... only downside is the price... 234 after taxes... OUCH!!... only got one, but i will be purchasing another soon enough...

lift and winch go on soon... nervous about both... but we shall see... id like to get this crap done with so i can start working with the guys who are gonna fab the rear bumper, sliders, and maybe even a tire gate for me...

If I had a truck or trailer, I wouldn't mind BBQing and wheeling out there all day.

seriously? you dont even attempt to try an obstacle anywhere unless you're 100% sure you can make it, or someone has already done it. So I really dont even want to hear it whether my truck nearly flopped, or if someone elses rig can "almost out wheel mine."

Whats so bad about flopping? It gives your truck character!
