Appreciate the read Matt!

Looked it over yesterday morning... Body is a solid 7... Interior is clean... The top has some cracks that were epoxied together... The main surprise was when I opened the hood... I heard a slight knock and was concerned... Checked the oil and, yup, chocolate milkshake, so the HG went... Then is when I noticed a whistling noise... The intake has Turbo EFI on it...

So, 160k on an '86 22rte... But he's just replaced the VAFM, the CAT and the o2s...

Turbo?? Dayummmmm! Score, ... and yeah, I saw the dash and wondered if you'd put it in.... or maybe the PO to be shnazzy, lol... But then read you opened the hood and got a couple surprises, ....one of them being a nice one, hahaha.

What a trip... so you didn't know it was turbo til that point?

Wait, I'm confused...

You talked him down after seeing the milkshake, while in HIS driveway, right? If so... what's the plan, just a HG and good flushing(maybe check the inner stuff's while in there?)

Wow, what a pleasant surprise, the Turbo, man! lol. So he dropped in a Turbo, or Vin is Turbo#?

Plan is to do the head gasket... Motor sounds like its got a slight knock, so might do a rebuild with engnbldr head and arp studs... Also refurb the turbo and clean all the crap out of the smog system...

I could be wrong, but I don't think they did.... Maybe the guy painted it?

Every set of Power-SR5 Mirrors I've had on a 4Runner(3 different years) has been Gunmetal Gray-Blackish, kinda metallic, but very lil.

Now I'm wondering, lol....

Congratz, Troy..... I LOVE them in white! My 'Blanca' is very missed! lol>>>

BTW, good idea on the rebuild.... wonder how long it's had the 'shake' chillin on them bearings/crank... You know, you could do a really reasonable moderate restore on this for CHEAP! lol.... Zuk mod, 70$, rebuild kit, couple Hundy?, few other things, ..... seriously, Troy, you got a SWEET deal, man!

It ain't perfect, guys... It WAS reprinted a few years ago real cheap and it's got some bondo spots, the mirrors, while working, act like they got Parkinson's... The window trim is wonky(but doesn't leak)... It's a project for sure, but I'm content for now...

Doesn't have to be perfect, Troy..... It's STILL a 'GREAT' deal! Those are mostly things you can knock out in your spare time, ya know?
