So a couple weeks ago I fixed my driver side lean, I swapped the springs side to side with the same results, so I decided to follow others lead and picked up a set of 1.5 DAYSTAR spacers and just installed one on the driver side, for the first time since I lifted it it now sits almost level side to side within.75 of an inch anyway, I'm happy with that. Still has a bit of a forward rake but I'm working on that so maybe I can get it level that way. 1 inch body is on the way, maybe I can get these new tires to clear with minimal trimming.
Not much of an update but that's where it's at, thanks for checking in.

Hey hab, I thinking about doing the trimming like dirtco did on his, I'm not afraid to do a little cutting and welding, I just really don't want to lift it anymore than I have to. As for the bumpers the front was ordered for a 1 inch body lift, the rear I will have to raise up and I have to do something with the sliders, I think on those I'm going to cut them off and start from scratch.

Got my 1" body lift installed this past weekend, did some trimming on the front fenders and I think I've finally got everything to clear. Definitely going to have to build new sliders as I had to cut mine back some but like I said that was in the plans any way.. Any way a few pics.

I also finished up my tire carrier, I decided to lower the mount as low as I could, I'm really glad I was able to do a little test fitting so I could get a feel for for how it would look without being permanent.

Going on a little wheeling trip this weekend, hope to have some good pics, I'll let yall know how it goes, thanks for checking in.

Took the runner on a wheeling/camping trip this past weekend, it was cold but we had a good time as usual. The new tires did great with only minimal rubbing, after the body lift I had to remove the lower half of the shroud and the fan still rubs some when flexing but that's what this trip was for for me, to source out issues from the latest mods. The tire carrier survived it's first trip as well, I have been kind of concerned about it holding up but at least for now it's just great.
I didn't get a lot of pics my camera and vid camera were both dead and I didn't find out my inverter wasn't working until we were on the trail, I did get a couple with m
y phone.

Overall a great trip, I did bump a tree backing up and added another small dent in the tailgate. I'm going to be checking into lowering the bump stops in the rear and doing a little more trimming in the front to eliminate the tire rubbing completely but I can honestly say I am happier with this truck every time I wheel it. That's it for now thanks for checking in.

I've had the parts to do a long awaited project for a while now, was finally able too hook up with a buddy of mine to get it done yesterday.
I picked up a set of seat heater over a year ago along with the seat foam from a passenger seat and we spent the day getting that stuff installed. The seat foam in my drivers seat was shot so we replaced it with the new to me foam. The heaters are nice and will be great on those cold wheeling trips but it will be really nice to have a comfortable seat to sit in.
I have a ride coming up the 1rst weekend in January and my wife wanted me to have the next project done before then so she gave me one of my gifts early.

The install was pretty straight forward, I'm glad I did some reading up on this particular snorkel as there's a couple things about it that can be problematic but I'm happy with how it went and I think it's a good investment and the wife thinks it's cool lol. That's it for now thanks for checking in.

urgh blah umph blurp, I had a really nice post all typed out and my freakin computer locked up and I lost all of it.
Anyway a couples weeks back I attended the local land cruisers clubs annual New Years ride. It turned out to be probably one of the most memorable rides Ive been on and there will be camp fire storries told by those in attendence for years to come. It started out not unlike any other trail ride/camping trip, with nearly 20 trucks, the first couple of days were just mild wheeling and camping with moderate temps and light rain, thats is until the last night. I dont know how much rain we got but the dry creek bed beside our camp on saturday was a rageing river 5 or 6 feet deep and 20 yards across on sunday morning. we did some scouting and decided to give it some time and see if the water went down, about 2pm we loaded up and headed out. at midnight we finally made it to a paved road, it was snowing, 2 trucks had flooded out in creek crossings, one truck broke the case to his transmition and was on a tow strap, my runner was suffering electrical problems and had several realys removed to stop the horn from blowing and the starter from randomly engaging, as well as a locked up brake caliper, fun times.
the video shows some but not anywhere near all the water crossing we went thru.
got the runner home and in the shop, left the doors and tail gate open for several days with fans blowing to try and dry things out, all seems okay now, all but the brakes that is, I will be doing the tundra upgrade as well as a rear disk brake conversion [Im sick of the brakes on this thing]. Ive drained both diffs and got no water out of them, the diff breather relocates done there job, I still need to do the Tcase and will get to that before it moves but thats going to be awhile because of the brake issue. Ive got a few pics and some video that other guys shot I will try and get that stuff posted up soon. thanks everyone for checking in.
