There's a neat little write-up on here somewhere on led (pretty sure) rock lights. Do it yerself, they looked like clear hockey pucks.

The 1" round LED's would be perfect, and are only 1 watt each. I have also pondered that. I have also thought about integrating a 6" procomp light bar underneath each of my rearview mirrors. They are not too expensive, and you could aim the light where needed. Then again, I can not even tell you the last time I wheeled at night. So for me, those coins will be spent on something else. Though, spent none the less.

I don't do much night wheeling either but I think the addition of some well aimed reverse lights at a minimum are a good idea, maybe I don't wheel at night becouse I don't have any lights lol.

Here's the thread that sparked my interest:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...ht-leds-89847/
Somewhere it seems there's a thread with more detail.

I use the aux reverse lights on my rack a lot. Any time I use reverse or if there's something I want to see back there. Also nice for setting up camp. Every once in awhile I think about building rock lights, maybe a set in red and a couple/few clear? Can't justify the expense vs benefit at this point.

ok so finally had time to get my stereo installed and move the c.b. like I wanted to very similar to haw other have done it, I like the way it turned out Im going to leave the mike for the c.b. unhooked unless Im wheeling it just seem to always be in the way.

I have been trying t get somework done on my 86 runner lately but the past few days its just been to hot to be in the shop so when the opertunity came up to do a little wheeling and just get away for a few I jumped on "not that I need a excuse to wheel but hey" met some really nice guys, the park was busey but not crowded had a great day and didnt break anything yeah.

these picks were took at the top of the trail where I broke my front diff, I did not try and run it again

I hae some vidio to I will try and get it up soon. thanks for checking in.

LED rock lights, eh? Sweet! Reverse lights are VERY useful, every time I camped in my White runner I used them(we called them A-hole lights..... You've driven lots in L.A. county, enough said, hahahha).

Looked like a great time, Jason... your runner is looking SICK!

These are the rock lights I'm going to run on my 4Runner and trailer. They are bright, waterproof and only one watt each.

Great job on the stereo and CB set up. Look like you had a great time on the wheeling trip.
