Jerry I have no clue whats going on with videos but trust me they're cool lol.
Racer I have an auto in mine so nope no problem with it being in the way when shifting I just have a bunch of junk that clutters up the console lol.
Hab I would love to have some video of my old girl in action "referring to my runner not the wife" but I can't do two things at once, and I do good to drive.
Mark I suppose you could mount the c.b. up top but there's not a lot of room there either with the map lights a moon roof switches etc.

I need some advice, I washed the old girl last weekend and it suddenly became really apparent that my fender flares have taken a real beating the last few wheeling trips, I don't want to take them off but I do want to make them look better. I've thought maybe bed liner but I don't think the flat black is gonna look rite, I could probably buff a lot of it out and the not wheel it anymore so they stay nice but we know that ain't gonna happen. Any ideas throw em out keep in mind mine is a limited so I have the cladding on the doors as well. Thanks for checking in.

"HAMMERED" - BLACK - RUSTOLEUM/HOME DEPOT/15$(?)
woot! lol.....
Used it on the grill guard(It's a LILLLLL darker in person than the pics...but it's NOT black.. more like BlakeFogt's Charcoal Gray Metallic Paint Job?)hehehe>>>

Ok, I'm getting too 'animated' over this.... Might be told to 'put my crack pipe down' again
, ..... hhahaha.

Mark let me say first you can say what ever you want on my thread. Second the hamered paint is a great idea I hadn't even thought of that, do you know can that be reaplied for touch up purposes?
Racer I just never have cared for exo cages ecspetialy on my daily driver. I probably need one though lol.

I've 'reapplied' it on my grill guard. Not sure how it will do on plastic, but I don't think it eats it, ya know? You could probably just sand it down and roll on more, lol. Again, it's NOT black, more like 'gunmetal gray'?
Don't need exo, just the sliders with kick out and that shnazy bumper of yours in rear... AND THE FRONT? ....uh ohhhhhhh, I went there, didn't I? hahahaa.

There's been a couple of customers bring their sliders back painted in truck bed liner for us to do the install. It is in a spray can from Homedepo or Autozone... they've sworn by it for all their armor coatings. Having to repaint or touch up seems not to be a hassle for em. It has a sandpaper type texture to it but it does smooth out some as it ages. I've seen repeat customers in their build process use it and it looks nice...and it seems inexpensive enough.

hey snowshredder, Ive actually used bed liner on a lot ok all the parts Ive built for this thing roof basket, sliders, bumper, 1rst gen roll bar, Ive been really happy with the results I just think it would be a bit much om the flares and cladding but its not off the list either.

Hope you and Reggie are doing well! Hope you have a great Fathers day coming up, as well!
Far as the stuff, ... that's what I thought was your concern, which is why I suggested the 'hammered'... It's very tough stuff if applied right, and while it has a TOOL BOX type of mildly dimpled finish, it's smooth and pretty decent gloss. Might give you a contrast/still be practical for the beating they take from stones, etc., ya know? But you'll figure it out. Looking forward to seeing whatever ya do... L8R T8R! lol.

Thanks man, that was kinda the reason I bought this one was just to be able to wheel, the idea kinda got carried away but I love this rig and have really enjoyed so far.
