Great idea for the area between the the doors, yet another thing I will have to admit to people "yea I stole that idea from dirtco". I love my tinted windows but they can be a pain in the dark. Hope you have a great weekend man.

Dayum tweeker on his bicycle side swiped me and didn't see him comin with my sick tint!" ??? ahahha... JK....seriously, that thing is something I could stop by daily just to peep on! lol.

I also love my tinted windows, the side windows are only 20% so it's still easy to see out of them. The back ones are a little dark (20% plus factory), but the only issue I could see would be night wheeling; in that case I'll just roll down the back window if I need to back down a trail. I feel the benefits outweigh the con's but we'll see, I'm also in the process of wiring up extra back up lights.
But there's not much you can do, it's just part of wheeling.I saw you were planning on running Wheeler; put me down as a maybe (but I'm leaning towards yes), and I'll let you know when it gets closer. I doubt the trailer will be ready so I won't be camping, was it 9am at the trailhead?

My windows where tinted when I bought mine and they're a lot darker then I would have done but ehh they look good and I can roll them down if its too bad so I'm going to leave it alone lol. The clear bra is cool, is there any kind of warranty with that, just wondering how long they expect it to last. Way better than the ugly black ones.

Yep 9 at the trail head. We might be camped there not sure yet on where to camp just yet though. Hope to see you up there

Hey man, im in your neck of the woods for the next month. well, kinda, im in aurora. are there any trails around here i could tackle that arent too difficult for an almost stock suspention? i'd love to get out and see some of this awesome colorado back country!
#614
I think most of them can. I would check with the shop, and ask for some examples of their work (pictures, actual cars)
There are plenty of trails that are suited for a stock vehicle in the area. Traildamage.com has a good listing of Colorado trails with ratings, and I might be able to give you some ideas if you know what area your thinking about.
Yes, i believe they are the 8 gallon Action Packers.

hey man just wanted you to know that I should have heeded your advice on adjusting the rear brakes and that I will be from now on, after a long down hill in the woods and smokeing the front brakes becouse the rears were so far out duh me. anyway hope all is well with you with all the fires out there.

Thanks man!
That sucks, sorry to hear that. I've decided to adjust them at every oil change, and every time I tow the trailer. It only takes a couple minutes; floor jack under the diff, pull the plugs, spin the tires a couple times, click/click/click, and your done!
Thanks for asking about the fires, I've been very lucky (knock on wood) and we have not seen one in the county yet. The neighboring counties have had a couple, and the smoke has been pretty bad, but that's it. I live a mile from a Wilderness area full of dead beetle kill trees, it's scary!

It’s been a while since I have updated this thread, so I guess it’s time to get everyone caught up…
As you guys know, my ARB front locker solenoid stopped working on my Spring Creek trip. I called East Coast Gear Supply to see if they would warranty it; after a little trouble shooting to make sure I knew what I was talking about, they agreed and said ARB would send me one directly. After a couple weeks I had not seen it, so I called them to see what was going on. They couldn’t believe the part had not shown up yet, and after being on hold a couple minutes (talking to ARB I’m guessing), they said that the part got shipped but there was no delivery info. ECGS said they would try to get me a replacement as soon as possible, and apologized for the hassle.
Considering this isn’t ECGS’s fault (it’s just a faulty ARB part), and the fact that it’s been almost a year since I bought the differential, I figured it would be a couple days before it showed up. I was just happy that they were not giving me the “You need to call the manufacture” speech. Well, the next morning at work there was a package for me; ECGS had ARB Overnight (AM) the part! That’s pretty awesome if you ask me; things got messed up, but they did everything they could to make it right.
After replacing the part (quick and easy) the only thing left to do was to take the 4Runner out and make sure it works the way it should.
I hit up some local trails, then worked my way over to S.O.B. Hill.

And that led to the first real scratch on the 4Runner. It’s not that bad, and it’s on the door cladding so it’s easy to fix down the road. My buddy owns a body shop; he offered to fix it for free (the door cladding and flares are nice because you can pop them off, or get replacements, and still drive the vehicle while it’s getting fixed) but I’m going to hold off until the end of summer and see how it looks. Chances are I’ll just leave it the way it is.
