At least now I have a template to follow for stuffing 35's!

Sweet rig - the colour is certainly growing on me... What colour armour are you going with?

Nice build! I just got 35s for my rig too so I'll be hacking my fenders up shortly! Have you started clearancing the rear yet?

Maybe, I need to wheel it first and see if it's really needed. I would love to run dual gear drive cases (stock + 4.7) with an Inchworm Lefty but that's not cheap and the install is going to be more complicated with all the electronics the newer 4Runner has. We'll see, but that will be down the road a ways.

Thanks! No, I really need to get it out on the trail and see how everything clears, or rubs.

Could be fun!

I have not tested it yet, so I really don't know how well the tires will clear. I might have to cut more, we'll see.

It really grows on you, and when you see it in the sun it's great. Everyone comments on the color! The bumpers and sliders will be the same color as the flairs (or close to it) but I would like to touch them up without using a spray gun.

Thanks! I looked at your 4Runner several times while I was making a plan for mine.

No, I still need to get it out on the trail to see what rubs and where before I start cutting.

I got my gears installed!

They are 5.29's, factory E-Locker for the rear and an ARB for the front. I still need to install the compressor for the ARB.

I completed the first phase of the gear break in, then I took it out on an easy dirt road to check for clearance issues and to rack up some easy miles on the gears.

Out in the dirt (the ride height will drop when I get my bumpers, sliders and skid plates installed)

I flexed it out to check my clearance and nothing rubs. I'm sure that will change once I get all of my extras installed, and get it in the rocks, but the 35's clear better than I thought they would.

Front

Rear, I will need to trim a little

Thanks! Me too, it's driving me crazy but I have few things that need to be done before I can start that project.

dirtco: here's how i made my corner lenses into blinkers, while retaining parking light functionality. easy project, and should cost less than $20

Man your rig looks sweet with those 35's. I can hardly believe that you got them to clear with just 4" of lift...it makes me think that I will be able to clear 35's with my 4.5" of lift.

Loving the build! Get the wheels all sorted out? If so, how's it do on road with the 35's and new gears?
