Repair cost vs. replace the vehicle...all that is mostly cosmetic...easily fixed...seems like it would be all about money!

is there frame damage? if there is, do you know someone who can get it back in spec for cheap? if it requires a radiator, the radiator support is prbably damaged too, wheat about the inner fenders? sounds pretty much like a whole front clip will be needed

If I were you I would look at this as an opportunity do build a stylin' front end. I replaced nearly all that stuff (All lights, grill, bumper, valance, billet insert) on mine cus it wasn't chrome and had minor imperfections. Don't regrett spending the money myself.

Repair. It sounds like you'll be spending a fair amount either way you go. If you buy a new vehicle, you'll have an uncertainty. Maybe the last owner didn't take good care of it, maybe the engine is 50 miles from blowing. We just got an 87 PU and the guy said he rebuilt it 20,000 before we got it. Well, the engine is crap, the rings are shot, and the seals leak like crazy. We paid almost 3 grand for it. You know how your car runs, and you know the service record. Fix it, and you'll not be sorry.

PS. Use this oportunity to build or have built a nice new front bumper, out of steel. Or get an ARB or TJM. If you hit anything in the future, the damage will be MUCH MUCH less.

I bought my rig for 500 with frontal damage, I got the frame straigten, found a used bumder and grille and corner lights 2 hours away from me (they were cheap but in good shape), bought a used radiator on ebay for 30 dollars, bought new headlights. It also needed a new windshield. It all came to about 800 dollars! So I say repair it and try to find some deals.

Do it your self with after market brand new parts. They are cheap and fit pretty well.Sounds like its just a matter of unbolting parts and bolting new ones back on.You would be suprised how cheap after market parts are.Price them on the web.Body parts .com is one place.I bought an 87 4 runner chrome grill head light bexels and side marker lights right at 100 bucks about 3 years ago.If you have to pay someone to fix it thats another story.Do the math and figure out what the trucks worth to you. Then go from there.
