Will PP 1" lift springs fit a 2WD 4Runner?.....

I have a 2000 2WD 4Runner SR5. I need to know if the PP 1" lift springs will fit my truck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sure that the springs will work, but confirm with a tech at PP first. 2WD springs are lower than the factory 4WD springs. You could raise your truck by using stock 4WD springs...(Steve S could confirm this). Someone who has swapped out stock 4WD springs for aftermarket ones may sell their stock ones for less? Their 1" lowering springs would not work on my 2WD...I guess since it's lower than a 4WD to begin with.
Good luck.

From my experiences, the front springs will not work. I sold a set to a guy with a 2wd, and he said they would not work because his struts were too short.

If you need a set of factory 96 4x4 V6 front and rear coils, I got a set laying in the garage. I'll let them go cheap. Let me know if you want them. Those should work, as they are not much longer than the 2wd ones.

Thanks-guys....

I found out from the other forum that they will fit as long as I use 4WD shocks(struts) also. I plan on getting some Bilsteins soon, so no problem there! Thanks guys....

They should give you 2" of lift from where you are now. Use the 4WD version of the front Bilstien shock. The rear shocks should be the same.

DO NOT use spacers with these springs!

Steve....

Steve,

Does this mean that I will need the e-brake bracket for the rear? Thanks for the information.

You may even get more lift than that. When I switched from PP springs to OME, I only gained an inch in the rear. As near as I can tell, I'm now 3 inches over stock. (I have not needed to make any modifications to accomidate this lift)
