White Face A/C Controls...

Check this link for white face a/c control with blue letters. May look good with white face indiglos:

It's a local place I have been to before. I think I'll check them out this week and see the quality of the piece.

Pf, when you are there, enquire about these.

They say '95 on up, but it looks the same as my '91.
Thanks...

I think that will fit no problem, unless they made the clip to snap it in different.

Here's Nu Images' website. Looks like they need to get their model years corrected though:

I remember reading somewhere in the forums that someone just replaced the light under the gauge with a high intensity bulb. I can't remember who though. I tried just taking the green cover off the stock bulb, but it wasn't bright enough. Anyone remember seeing that? I actually like just the indicators being bright white, not the whole thing.

Tad bit pricey for just a panel. The procarparts indiglo gauges were only 24.95. Noiw if they made an indiglo a/c panel, that'd be different

It 'may' not fit the Runner...I bought a Taco WF panel (about a year ago) for my AC thinking it looked exactly the same. It is kinda, but the Icons are off maybe a 1/4"...it's an overlay so it has a sticky back. I used the nibbler tool to cut the factory icons and made openings for the light to shine through the blue. Only one bulb behind my panel so the blue is brighter on the right side...looks good by day, OK at night. If I had better results, I would have done a write up.

BN:

I took apart my dash(actually, I already had my dash apart for other reasons)and took a close look at the a/c controls. The factory panel actualy pulls off so the white face one can replace it instead of just overlaying. I didn't overlay my indiglos because of the warning lights being a fraction off. I'll take a close look at this product this week and let interested parties know what I think. That's of course if they have it in stock.

I woke up being creative this morning and printed and cut-out a "false" white a/c control panel to see what it would like. Here are the pics:

I'm not 100% sold on it yet.

Any comments??

Real good find and doesn't look to bad actually, it will look real good with my silver reverse indiglo gauges.

Hey Paul. Yeah, I took the panel out and put the white panel 'overlay' to test fit. The overlay is very thin yet rigid. I never considered just using that for the panel, it may be too flimsy. Maybe just replace the panel with a Taco one? Could be expensive, but the correct way to use this. Still, it needs more bulbs behind there, like Bills LEDS...I dunno, if they say it fits Taco's and Runners, my Taco overlay did not fit my Runner. Good luck. BTW, I can't see your pics...just the red X's...
