I think Im gonna do some more witing for my Hella 500s tomorrow, and was wondering where is a good place to ground them. Is the grille gaurd sufficient? Is there a place close by behing the grille to ground?

In front of the radiator, there's a couple bolts that work well. The grille guard should work also.

Just run a wire to the ground that the ground off the battery uses on the inside of the fender well as you know that one is good.

anywhere with bare rustless metal should be fine.

Any of the random holes that are drilled into your engine bay will work, I just used the two right in front of the radiator as mine...haven't had any problems yet. If you can't find any close enough to where you mounted your lights...just make your own spot

Drive a 36" steel stake into the ground, install a ground clamp on it, and run a solid 10 ga copper wire to it and clamp it on...

haha! that should be sufficient. Make sure to run enough copper wire to cover the distance from home to work.

My lights are grounded just through their mounts to the bumper. I also ran the ground wire to the bumper.

My Hella's directions said to hook it up to the negative terminal for the battery. If you don't want to do that there's always the ground on the fender for the battery as someone already mentioned.
