Where are all of the Tacomas going?

So I know the frame rust issue is old news but I started to wonder where all of the Tacomas that were/are being bought back are going. Are they ALL going to one location to be destroyed or are there multiple salvage yards in each region of the country that accepts vehicles from the area? I am just curious after viewing this video on youtube. To see all of those Tacos crushed in this video is pretty sad as they are still full of good used parts!

ugh think of all the 3.4's and 2.7's that are just wasted!

This reminds me of 'who killed the electric car?' video when toyota did the same thing to their electric vehicles. They just smashed them and sent them to a remote town to rot.

Could we somehow get a hold of whoever is in charge and buy the parts from them?

I'm sure that there is no way to get parts from those vehicles, the accounting for a recall is complicated and if Toyota were to make any profit it would be a nightmare in accounting for their financial department...on the other hand if they are outsourcing the collection and destruction of the vehicles there is a chance you could maybe convince that 3rd party company to sell you parts. Otherwise its cash for clunkers all over again

I am starting to think I should have titled this thread "WARNING GRAPHIC VIDEO". It is really sickening especially after failing to locate just ONE 95-04 Taco in all of the Des Moines, IA metro salvage yards just last weekend.

Why are the salvage yards smashing them? What difference would it make to Toyota if the yards stripped em and sold off the good parts before they get crushed. Total waste of money IMO.
