What's your average 21' skiboat weigh with trailer?

Any idea what your average mastercraft/malibu skiboat weighs with trailer? Toyota claims 6500 pound towing capacity with th new v6. I'd imagine this is more than enough?

My guess is around 4500 Lbs.
However, if you have 3-rd generation 4runner (1996-2002) with 3.4L V6 then limit is 5000 lbs not 6500.

Our 23' boat weighs about 5,000 and our old 18 footer was about 3000. I would say 4,000 is a pretty good guess. An easy way to figure us to visit the company's website for the dry boat weight. Figure about 1000 pounds for the trailer and additional weight for gas, gear and etc. BTW: our boats are bowriders.

So with the above said, a new V6 Tacoma shouldnt have a whole lot of trouble towing a skiboat with full gear/gas. Ive loved the tacomas since switching from a fullsize, I'd hate to have to go back.

Yeah, the Taco will pull it fine. If you're gonna be pulling it any distance, be sure to keep it out of OD and you'll be ok.

just make sure you have the 5000 lb hitch there are 2 different ones. my factory one is only rated to 3500.

Definately! I was only pulling a 21' fully loaded ski boat when I warped my rotors going down hills with no trailer brakes.
The truck didn't have must issue towing the boat uphills though (was a bit slow, but hey, it's a V6).
