Hard to believe that in two and a half years and 400+ posts, you didn't know about the deckplate...

No worries.. I didn't start the thread.. but the repeat thread did spark my interest. I'm off to Sail and Ski to pick up a Beckson Deck Plate for $9. I'm willing to give it a try.
