Uneven OME Rear

With some help from a Yotatech stud (Thanks Breezy) I installed new OME shocks and spring all round. But now that the euphoria of a new lift has worn off I have noticed that the right rear suspension sits almost an inch higher. How do you correct for the uneven lift?

You probably put the rears on the wrong sides. Pull 'em out and swap sides. The taller spring goes on the drivers side.

Yep

You and Yotatech stud need to swap sides with the rear coils as the one that goes on the driver's side with the gas tank on my 2000 is about 3/4-1" longer. Good luck!

If you were like me, you trusted the labels on the coils themselves. They typically have a PS sticker on the taller coil.

This is because the coils are technically designed for Austrailian vehicles, where the gas tank is on the passenger side.

I took this up with ARB USA, because its stupid that they can't label the coils the correct way for stuff sold in the U.S. Too bad they have not corrected it.

ARB ended up sending me a check for $20, which was the cost of renting a garage bay and lift to swap the coils around.

There probably on backwards if you went by the labels on the springs and didn't read this label on the outside of the box.

No sticker on mine

I got my OME stuff around the first of the year 2004 and there was no such sticker on mine anywhere, so they haven't got it all straightened out yet. Perhaps on the newer shipments they've added the sticker. Good post WT!

Don't bet on it.
I just checked two sets of rears.
The 890's I have are labeled PS & DS but the 891's are R/H & L/H and the R/H is taller.
Oops.
