Turbo 3VZE?
Hey guys, I was just wondering if it was possible to turbocharge a 3VZE. And if so, do you know anyone that has done it? I'm looking to get a little more power... but am doubting get a turbo since I want to get a safari snorkel. Which brings me to my next question... would it decrease my power if I had the snorkel, since it's such a long tube?? Thanks in advance!

some guy did it, he posted on here and on pirate can't remember his name, he just welded a turbo flange the the y-pipe, and fabber the other needed parts. Not really for me cause gas is so expensive, but if that's your bag, go for it.

Not to mention the absolute certainty you'd blow it up unless you really knew what you were doing. The head gasket issues, making the engine breath better, and the fuel system management issues are not realy shadetree mechanic items. Turboing is not as simple as bolting one on.
Snorkel? Look at Cold Air Induction kits. Notice the short, smooth pipes that replace the convoluted long factory pipes? Notice how a bigger air filter is located outdoors where more air can get to it? Look at things like the deckplate mod - it lets in more air. Simple concept really, get the air in more efficiently. Now, look at a snorkel.... No, it will not give you more power. It will however, restrict the airflow even more.

don't think there's anything to really "convert". you could theoretically convert a 3VZE to a 3VZFE which has dual cams and much better performance(and track record) than the 3VZE.
offroad solutions sells everything to do the swap, kind of pricey but a lot of people have gone through them
