Well I'm a few days late in letting you know. But its running great so far no CEL at all. All of the gauges work great, well the oil pressure seems kinda low but it is the same sender I used on the 3.0 which I always felt was reading lower than actual . I'll get this double checked on friday.

Dave,
This swap is worth every penny I spent on it. I may be singing a different tune in few months but as of now I cant get this stupid grin off my face.

Glad to hear that!!! Did you do your own wiring? Man I'm right behind you, give me a week or two.

Sold my 3.0 for $1500 installed to a customer at the shop I work at. These 3.0's are getting hard to come by. I found a wrecked Tacoma for cheap and was able to do the whole swap for the $1500. Tach, all guages, and A/C work. Wired it myself. Probably won't come across this deal ever again so I jumped on it. Love the 3.4

What would it take to swap the heads from a 3.4L to a 3.0L? I hear the blocks are in the same engine family. I don't know if the passages line up? Is this doable or not?

Thanks, Tony

A guy named Dan started that project but I think he ran into some problems cause we never heard from him again, even though a few of us gave him R&D funds. Here is a link: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116/mods-3-0-durring-full-rebuild-35794/

Paxton made a S/C at one point, but it only fit in the T100 engine bay and was discontinued before it made production, IIRC.

Putting 3.4 heads on a 3.0 is useless - swap the entire engine and be done.

rockota, agreed. To much work, then you can't be sure how it wil act. just swap the whole thing and be done with it.
