Im trying to make my yota 4R 96 LTD get back to 4wd enable - i can buy whole Tcase but from younger version 2001. Will it fit how is 4wd computer connection possibility? has anyone tried to do this?

I think it is not the way to go. I don't know if it is impossible but probably not desirable. There was a change in t case actuation in the '01-02 runners. See number 7 here: http://www.top4runners.com/runhist/runhist32001.html

I believe he got it fixed but it has been a recurrent problem to the point that he is trying to go the other way as you. (i.e. put in a 96-00 t case) Not sure if he got that done or not, I just know it was something he was working on.

96-98 Limited is the case you want. 99+ cases are longer, so you may have driveline issues. You will also have electronic issues with the actuator, among other things.

its kinda hard to buy 4R parts in europe but i keep trying - my T is worth it
in my 4R electronic actuator is present and not working....tried to put other from 99 but they are not compatible and parts inside actuator completely different
