starts in 1964 with the first toyota pickup truck all the way to 2001 Tacomas (older site, because of the lack of 2002+ Tacomas)

talks about HiLux's, compact pickups, etc..

A so called Toyota History page, and not one mention of the introduction of the 22RE EFI motor in '85; or that it was the last year they offered solid front axles..

 

well it does say for 86 that all came standard with IFS :-P

 

...and they call the 20R a version of the 18R! i figure if that was true, we'd be able to use that nifty twin cam 18RG head on our 20R/22R motors unfortunately that sucker won't work. the 20R and 22R do share the same block, though(22R is just bored out more)
