towing with moog springs
Has anyone replaced their rear springs with the moogs and tried towing? How well do they do? Should I still get the airbags? I plan on replacing my springs with the moog 81043 and was wondering if they would be enough or if while I have the springs out I should go ahead and put in the airlift 1000 kit.

what are you planning on towing? I had some moog progressive cargo coils on for years. (95 4r) they were plenty beefy enough for trailers of furniture and trips to the dump with yard waste but they are still going to sag while towing.

Various things, I have a 12 foot utility trailer, probably wouldn't ever load it over 4000. I also have a travel trailer on family property about 300 miles from here that I need go get to bring home to sell Not sure how much it weighs, I'll look at the title.

I just checked and rockauto shows to have these springs for $35 and it says sold in pairs. Every other place is in the $60-$90. It sure seems like rockauto is pricing them separately or else they are super cheap.

Amazon is probably better with shipping, RA can be expensive:

I'd save my pennies for some OME 906s and new shocks, but YMMV.
Would the airbags help with the Moogs? Absolutely.

Update: Moog coils and airlift 1000 are installed. Actually was really easy to install. From start to finish including pickup and cleanup took 3hrs. I spent quite a bit of time routing the airline to make sure it was away from the exhaust. With 0 psi in the bags the moog coils raised the back end 1 3/4 in. with 5 psi it raised it another 1/4 in. So now it is 2 in. higher than with the old springs. And it rides much nicer. Previously I was only about 1/8 in away from the bump stops in the coils, so any bumps and it would bottom out. Here are before and after pics.

Thanks, I haven't tried towing anything yet. The front springs seem to be fine, and from what I've read don't have the sag problem like the rear. So I don't plan to replace them.
