Suspenion

I GOT A 97 2WD 4 RUNNER AND WANT TO REPLACE SPRINGS AND
SHOCKS NEED HELP ON WHAT AND WHERE TO BUY!

depends on what you want to do..make your runner an offroad rig, or a street rig. welcome to the forum by the way...im a drummer too. :rockband:

ahh, im not to sharp on the suspension of a 3rd generation runner as mine is a 2nd. as for drums, i have a 7 peice yamaha beech custom with a pearl masters custom snare. i play in a band called viagara falls

I would say go for the performance products 1" springs, I heard they ride a lot smoother and the 1" lift will look good.

Did you have the toyota suspension recall done? If you havent I would suggest you do because that will help with the rough ride. But check out the suspension part of my site and you will see why the 2WD 4runner rides rough. As a solution get the recall done if you havent and some new shocks might be in order.

go HERE and find the TRD air bags for the rear coils. Have the recall performed, but while the stealer is in there, have them istall this kit. It shouldn't cost you much since they will have the rear coils out anyway. It SOLVED my harsh ride problems for good.

A friend of mine has a 98 limited 4wd and I put the same set on his and it cured his bad ride as well. He also put on new shocks/struts. If you have over 75k on the original shocks, it's about time for a replacement.

Once you have the rear spring recall performed, then your rear suspension will match what's in the 99+ models, so the air bag set will work for ya'.
