**SOLD** : 1985 4Runner- Tyrone! Updated w/ price drop!
Here's the deal. I listed this for sale in mid-December. I've had two different "serious" buyers now who were "on their way" to buy my 4Runner, yet it's still in the driveway. Both times I was told if I would hold it, they were coming to purchase.
So here's the plan. Price drop from $8000 to $6750. It's been a month and I'm ready to sell. I have included several pics but can supply any and all additional photos upon request.
I will no longer hold it for anyone no matter the circumstances. If you'd like to buy it, have $6750 cash in hand and it's first come, first serve. $6750 is non-negotiable and I'm not interested in trades.
I don't mean to sound abrasive, but due to tire-kickers I've wasted a month. If you have any questions or need more pics, let me know. Here's info from the original classified:
Vehicle: 1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5. 22RE, 5 speed. Black exterior, gray interior.
Factory options: All power windows, A/C, factory sunroof, inclinometer.
Wheels/tires: 35x12.50x15 BFG KM2's with roughly 1K on them. American Racing Outlaw II's size 15x10.
Lift: 4 inch Pro Comp suspenion lift, 2 inch Roger Brown (4Crawler) body lift.
Gears: 5:29's front and rear, NO LOCKERS.
Interior: All gauges converted to blue LED's. Kenwood AM/FM/CD with USB connection. Front speakers only. (Pioneer) Factory SR5 seats in good condition, original fabric with no rips, or tears. Sunshield for the sunroof. A/C NO LONGER WORKS. All components still in place, no belt hooked up. All three power windows work. All new vinyl flooring front to rear. Oil pressure and water temp gauges mounted on A-pillar.
Tint: 35% on front doors, 20% on all other windows including sunroof.
Exterior: Repainted in March 2010. Basecoat/clearcoat black. When it was repainted I installed new hood and both front fenders. Right rear quarter had been replaced when I bought it. I had a used (rust free) rear quarter cut in and replaced on the left side. 1987 grille. Rocker trim deleted. Stone guard in front of rear tires deleted, holes welded shut. Emblems deleted from tailgate, holes welded shut. New tail light lenses. New windshield with rubber gasket.
Armor: All Pro Offroad rear bumper. 4xInnovations front bumper.
Replaced since I bought it in 2009: Front main seal, water pump, battery, belts, hoses, front axle seals (knuckles), rebuilt Aisin hubs, all lights, u-joints on rear driveshaft, shifter bushings, front brake pads/rotors, all vacuum lines, pcv valve, air filter, plugs, plug wires, entire fram painted with Rust Bullet. The list goes on.
Summary: The odometer reads 310K, but the previos owner changed the gauge cluster at some point to address issues with the gauges. Not sure of the actual mileage. Speedometer, tach, voltmeter and gas gauge work, oil pressure and water temp do not, thus the A-pillar gauges.
So here's what you need to know: if you want a brand new SUV, this is not the vehicle for you! This is a 28 year old 4Runner. It still has push/pull steering (I will give you a 89-95 IFS steering box to convert to hy-steer if you want it), it does not have A/C, it burns a little oil, it does not ride like an Escalade.
But it DOES start everytime you turn the key. It does take you wherever you want and it runs great. It gets looks everywhere you go and you'll never lose it in a parking lot! It's one of a kind!
Any questions call me at 828-254-9674.

Hi, I really like your 4runner and would love to take it off your hands. Its exactly what I've been looking for for the past few years (cleanest and best looking in my price range). I'm getting ready to go on a short deployment, but if you still have it in April (which I don't really expect you to, for that price) I will be more than happy to drive up from SE Georgia to get it. I don't wish you luck with selling it til I get back. No, but seriously, good luck.
