Does anyone know what the stock 22RE specifications are? I don't have a manual for my truck. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I used to think the 22RE only had 105 hp, so you've lifted my spirits some.

If anyone has any more 22RE info, please post. Thanks again.

I think the 2G 4Runners and 3G Pickup 22RE's have 105 hp due to emissions crap, but fortunately for you yours has the 116hp.

actually i think they all had 105 or so from '83-84, 116 from '85-89, and that there was a slight increase in '89 or so due to the better plenum that was introduced. but i could be wrong

Not that I need it but is there any way to get rid of the things on the 89-95 that restricts it to only 103 hp?

i'd assume it's mostly vacuum line spaghetti. i don't have any idea why the 22R would have the same rating as a 22RE in a million years though especially when the upper plenum/throttle body from an '89-up truck is a desirable performance upgrade
