Exclamation Starter Problems

I am assuming that my problem is the related to the infamous starter contacts, however I would like to make sure. Obviously I am experiencing problems starting, however my problem is somewhat different.

Instead of on going problems, my problem is completely out of the blue, and instead turning the key over to a single click, I turned the key over to a rapid and repeditive click, click, click, click, click....until I release the key.

I would like to assume this is the starter contacts which so infamously plague our trucks...If anyone has any knowledge about this I would greatly appreciate advice! I will be chasing down starter contacts tomorrow morning....

I would start by just cleaning up the battery connections. Sounds like not quite enough power is getting to the starter.

Yeah sounds like the battery. u might try cleanin the teminals or your battery might be dead. Try jumping it if cleaning the teminals didnt work.

could possibly be the hot wire goin to your startin, check it for corrosion, see if it's loose.

I started having the same problem after cleaning out my engine. It happens off and on- I'm going to clean my battery connections to see if that helps at all. Thanks a lot.
