Standard vs. Auto wiring harness.
I spun a main bearing in my 97' runner.
It's a 5 speed.
I picked up a donor engine for $500 out of 99 taco auto.
The harness are different.
My question is: will my 97' standard harness swap onto the 99' taco ?
Or am I going to have to swap over all tbe sensors.
Thanks for any input.
Standard 5 speed harness.
Auto harness
This is the section that runs to the trans and the 0 2 sensors.

You want to use the harness that came with the truck, swap all the parts needed to do that. The motor itself is basically the same, just the stuff that bolts to it is different.
Swap parts around and you should have no problems using your harness and it bolting right in.
