sputtering 22RE??

sputtering 22RE??

ok,my runner has been sputtering and missing for a while now. so i replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires,cap and rotor, fuel pressure regulator and put new OEM fuel enjectors in it...and it still sputters :pat: what else could it be?

Did you check the trouble codes?

Have you checked the cap and rotor? I know every now and then that my cap button get destroyed for some reason. also check the wires for resistance. The Haynes manual should tell yopu how to do it. (although I have checked mine and they are out of range but still work fine)

ill test it this week.. i noticed it revs smooth with nice response, but ass so as i start driving it it sputters and it backfires a tad

Check to make sure all your fuel injector electrical plugs are tight on the injectors, we have one with a broken clip retainer and sometimes it falls off.

its in the process of getting the tps adjusted and timing set...let u know 2marrow

well,i found the complete fuel pump with 50K on it for $21 on ebay so i got it..

If you talk with Mike , he has a fuel pressure regulator tester and some other nice gadgets to help diagnose youre problems. Last I talked with him, he had his garage just about in order to start working on some stuff.

maybe if these hurricanes would leave us alone i could get up there.we're supposed to have another one next weekend and plus i have to build J's sliders...i dont have time for crap maybe i can get up there one day this weekend..

Yaeh, I think everybody is tired of the waether around here. J's gotta have his sliders and I've gotta have mine and I know Mike Needs his.
