I am currently running 4" Kappas up front and 6.5" in the back...No Complaints. Be sure to shop around as there is a huge mark-up on Car Audio Components. If near SoCal, Try Avima in Downtown LA (Central and 11th) for wholesale prices (He may ship).

I really like my CDT Audio Eurosport 620's =D
Silk tweeter, very soft natural sound; very strong midbass. Even in factory locations, the soundstage is lifted off the floor and seems to be at the dash....
Image Dynamics Chameleons are supposed to be good, too, but seem difficult to get and sometimes have problems with quality of construction....

Then I got married and that fun came to a screeching halt.

I'm a Boston Pro's guy too. I competed some in IASCA, but quite a few CMMA shows. I don't think they're around anymore though. I need to scan some of my old pics. I was completely amature but I knew one of the guys at the local shop, and he let me tune my audio control xql before shows. I hand only one drop on the RTA machine. I always kicked ars in the SQ and install portion, but I only could hit a 127 - 129 depending on the day. I ran Alpine head unit, 2 RF punch 60's, two JL 10's, and of course Boston Pros. I was classified as 120 watts. What I hated about IASCA, they were 0-100 I think which would bump me up into harder competition, so I'd get killed with spl. CMMA was 0-150 so I killed everyone else. Same thing happened to me though...got married. Sold all of it. I remember people using Enya, Flash Dance, and few others I can't remember for spl. Anyway those are some nice installs. You guys make me want to get back into it.

Have you ever played any of the DYNAMIX stuff or Time Warp by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra? These were great CDs when I had my system. Then again The Phantom of the Opera sounded awesome to.

That system was sooooo much fun too. Wide open on bass notes, you could forget about trying to focus on anything or reading anything. The front windsheild would flex a good 1/4" too. Oh and the windshield wiper on the passenger side would jump like mad....lolRight now my system is in rebuild until I get some new subs....

Well I just installed the JBLs in my Xterra, and I'm very pleased with them. Aside from having a few minor problems mounting them, I think that they sound very good
I'm still fine tuning my new reciever to get the sound the way I want it, but the JBLs (a pair of 6.5" 3-Ways up front, and a pair of 6x9 2-Ways in the back) sound very good.

B B B B B Bass
These tunes below will give your woofers a shake down.
I just uploaded 7 MP3s that total about 26 MB to my server.
Now it may shut down, or my site may shut down from to much bandwidth, so I am not leaving these up for to long.
Playing these on my PC which has a good subwoofer works for some, some won't play the low notes at all very well.
But when I play these in the 4Runner, the 15" JL W6 can handle the lowest notes with ease.

The one called Cool Bass has got some pretty low notes.
It is best to right click and save these to your puter if you want to keep them to burn to a CD.
