Source for Fender Flares?
Okay, I've done web searches, looked through YT classifieds.
I'm interested in function rather than form (I don't care too
much how they look, as long as they fit well).
I drive on dirt roads nearly every day, so in the winter I get
nice mud "designs" on my doors. I don't really care but
the rest of the family has a problem with it when they are
trying to get into the 4R or get around it in the garage.
Just Front Flares would be good.
But $150-200/ each flare is just way more than I want to pay.
Any sources that I should know about?
thanks in advance,
jackson

Have you though of just putting some mud flaps on it? I have the SR5 fender flares with no mud flaps and the entire side of my rig gets dirty if I drive through a small puddle.

I have bushwacker flares and mud flaps and i still get lots of mud on the sides of my truck
the bushwacker flares look good but cost way too much$$$
I think part of the problem on my truck is it is sitting on a 4 inch lift.
I would vote new mud flaps first for you.

Is yours a base model, SR5, or Limited? The reason I ask is some people on here get the Limited flares and fit those on. As recommended by other I would get mud flaps first. I just went to advance auto and bought the ones that have a 4x4 logo on them and put them on. They work great except the mud likes to trickle down the top and wind up on the back side of the flaps itself. Eventually I'm gonna have to put silicone or something on the top edge of it.

Thanks for the ideas.
I should have mentioned from the get-go that I have oversized
wheels so the tires stick out almost 2 inches from the sides.
No lift however. Already have OEM mud flaps which don't do a whole lot in
this situation. In fact, seems like my outside mirrors keep more mud off the
sides than the mud flaps.
At 20-25 mph, yesterday on a muddy road, I had mud all the way
to the tops of the rear side windows to the point of being hard to
see out.

I have the SR5 flares and used to have mudflaps. They helped, but ended up being just another thing to tear off. I just quit washing my truck during hunting season because I go alot and everytime I go my truck gets covered in mud.
