Alright. This is where I am. I have an 02 sports edition. I just took off the driver's side running board. No problem. I go to take off the passenger side's and I can't get a single bolt to move. I can't see any reason why this would be the case. I just want that thing off. Anybody got any ideas?

 

Have you tried soaking the bolts with wd-40 or something similar? Or you can use a cheater bar if you have room.

 

Yeah, I tried soaking them in liquid wrench. Just won't budge. I tried the closest thing to a cheat bar I had and it bent. I just don't get it. There is no reason why this side should be this much tighter.

 

Mine had the nuts welded into place that the bolts would thread into. Is it the same case with yours?

Are you sure you're not trying to turn the welded nut? Maybe try reversing the direction to break it loose.

 

they are held on just the same. try more pb blaster, tabasco, liquid wrench, etc. buy a longer breaker bar and try to see if you can get more leverage

Make sure you are turning the bolt and in the proper direction. Righty tighty, lefty loosy.

 

Impact driver. That's the ticket. I've found that some heat, and then a good hard whack can usually free a stuck bolt. Unless, of course, they're welded in place, like the Freak said...
Then you'll have to get a nut cracker...

 

try all of the above. you can also get a hammer and pound on bolts to get it loose. This always works for me

My cousin had to use a 4-wheeler and a towstrap hooked up to a 1.5 foot breaker bar to get some bolts off his old 2nd gen...needless to say, I was in the shed ducked down under the work bench...if that thing went flying, I was NOT gonna be in the way.

Try a longer breaker bar or get long bolt and use that to hit the bolt on each side to try and wiggle it loose. I've heard that if you put hydrogen peroxide on bolts that will help too...never tried it myself though.
