I want to put a smittybuilt front bumper on my 98 Taco but for some reason you cant order one. How come?

 

For some reason you cant put a smittybuilt on a 98'. Either they havent designed them yet or what? I dont know. Kinda wierd.

 

I had one on my 85 4x4 . I ahve sold the truck though. I believe I got it from a local 4x4 shop. Your other optionis to find a truck with a simular front end and make mounting brackets .

 

smittybilt doesn't make a bumper for the tacomas or 3rd+ 4runners. they only make grille & brush guards. ARB and TJM are the only aftermarket companies that makes one for them. you can also look at demello offroad and bentup offroad for other bumpers.

 

If you mean a brush guard/ push bar, Manik makes one. It looks EXACTLY like the Smittybuilt.

 

Does it look just like a smittybuilt dual tube bumper or is the brush guard different? I think ive seen the brush guards before but cant remember

 

Another question i have. Could you put a front smittybuilt bumper that fits a 91 on a 98 taco?

 

I doubt it as a bolt on, but you could probably adapt it. The frame horns are different on those two vehicles

 

go to your local 4wheelparts wholesalers or call them and they will order you smitty built products. i just put mine on for my runner on friday. looks alot better now. mines got a big empty space in teh middle where a winch is supposed to go but i don't have any money for that right now, but it still looks great. But i doubt they even make one for your rig. but i might be wrong so just keep trying. good luck.
