It's not what I'm really looking for buts its a custom 4runner grill.
If you find some of 90-95 pickups they look almost identical to runners in the front so that can also give you an idea of how it'd look.

 

I have been leaning towards black just because I think the aluminum/chrome would look a little out of place.

I agree, it does look way too much like a Chevy. I do like those billet grilles on the 3rd generation 4runners though, much less Chevyesque
