Shock question. I searched

Well i am in the process of my lift, i have the cruiser coils on the back and i am doing the OME 882's in the front with a topout. I know that the stock shocks won't work with the 882's but will the Tokico Trekmasters on the toytec site work. I thought that they were the direct stock replacement but it says they will work with any of their front lifts. Could someone please clarify this for me. Thanks

you can use your stock shocks with the 882s. the front tokico shocks will work with all of the aftermarket coils

well at first i tried to use my stock shocks because of money situations, and i went and got them compressed to assembly the strut and when we took all the pressure off the coil was still compressed and bent crooked becuase it had to much pressure on it...

thats weird, the 882's seemed to be way to long and wouldn't even fit on the strut. how did you compress yours? and are the trekmasters any longer at all?

bump.

can anyone answer why the stock shocks did not work for me? and are the trekmasters extended in overall length or are they extended from where the mounting plate that the coil rests on is also?
