Question Seat squeaking ?

Anyone out there w/ a tacoma have problems w/ the drivers seat squeaking. Mine does when ever I hit bumps, turn and other stuff and it is very annoying. Just wanted to see if I need to grease or WD-40 something.

Thanks

When ever you hear a squeek, your truck is acutally saying "non lubircated contact, please fix me." In other words, there is something you need to lube if you want silence. You might have to take the seat out and flip it upside down to lube the spings for the ultimate in silence. Other solutions include a 15" subwoofer and 1000 watt amp.

I just wanted to see if it was a common problem or not....Maybe some huge a$$ dude had the truck before me and ruined me seat. I do like the suggestion though on the system.

Maybe some parts where the is supposed to be a rubber gasket is missing? Probably just the mounting part of the seat to the floor. If you don't want to slpa in some rubber, remember, Duct Tape is man's best friend.

Depends on the kind of music you plan on listening to most when picking the size of a sub, but we all know the more watts, usually the better it hits.

Yeah I had that problem at around 40,000 mi. I got rid of it by taking the seat out filpping it over and weaving a scrap piece of speaker box carpet between the foam and the wire supports. I also used some stick on felt circles around some metal seems and joints, can't remeber where exactly. This has been over a year and still quiet. I also had a squeaky dash but the dealer fixed that. Good luck.

I had the same problem on my 98 Tacoma LTD. It came and went and I just lived with it.
