Runner transformation complete finally!

Well it took alot of time but it was well worth it! I finally got the rest of that bloody stripe off today and wow what a difference. I love the new look. Totally different from how it looked before that's for sure. Looks meaner now. Need my Yak rack next! I should be doing the intake silencer mod next week when my dad get's done fabbing me up the pieces and mails it over this way. Here's some before and after pics of the truck!

Yummy nasty glue anyone?

Drumroll............What do you guys think?

The whole process took a while. Once I got the glue off I T-cutted around it to get rid of any tar remover left over then I waxed it by hand over where I striped off all the wax with the tar remover. Threw a coat on my bushwhackers too and I could see myself in them..

Looks good Joey, but don't ever say "Runner transformation complete" as I said that over a year ago

It's never done.
Keep us posted on the ISR mod. I had a neighbor looking at trying to fab one up too, but I don't know if that is going to pan out.

It will be interesting to see what your dad comes up with.

I'll second that. It's never done. Looks awesome!

So you are opting for the ISR mod instead of the FIPK? Let us know how it works out!

Ha ha good point Corey. Maybe I should have clarified that this particular transformation is complete. Cebby yes I am. My dad is an awesome machinist and I ran it by him and showed him Blu's write up and he said he would fab me something up. Can't wait to see what he comes up with. The K&N would be nice but I just can't justify 200 bones for it.

Looks very nice Joey! You have done alot of the mods that I hope to get done on mine. Do you think there is ANY difference in the paint.... between under the stripe and the rest of the rig? The reason I ask, a body shop owner here kind of warned me off on the stripe removal. He said its POSSIBLE that you would be able to see where the stripe was, due to paint fade. Dont think I'd like that much.

1Runner depending on what color you have I would''t worry about it. With white there is NO difference at all in the paint. A dark color might be a different story.

Joey,

Looks so much better w/o the stripes. Good job! I guess your arm did heal perfectly!

Looks good man. For some reason, it does look more aggressive w/o the stripes. Keep us posted on the ISR mod, that sounds like something I would like to do someday.
