replacing fluids, need advice
I have a 96 4runner 2.7 4cyl
What should I use for the rear end?
What should I use for the trans?
What should I use for the engine?
Just want to get some thoughts before I change them all this weekend.
Thnx,
T

You could convert it all over to synthetics if you wanted to, but I'm not sure how much money you're wanting to spend.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, and thanks for being not so funny scuba(I already had the manufacturer suggestions but this is where the offroaders gather and I wanted their advice). I checked with the drive train shops where I know people and I'm going with royal purple even though its a bit much on the dollar side I figure its worth trying it at least once. We'll see what happens!

I'm running Mobil One 75/90 gear lube in transfer case & both differentials...seems to work great and have had no problems with LS in rear. I'm running Mobil One 10w30 in the crankcase, but in the transmission case I'm running B&G, because I was due for a tranny flush and that's what the shop had on hand...supposed to be good stuff though.
Been running all of the above, except B&G in tranny, for past 2k miles...smooth and cool. I went with Mobil One because it seemed a little hard to get Amsoil on short notice.
