Rear Wiper Sag?!?!

Help! I have a 94 4Runner that has a saging rear wiper arm. It does not pull all the way up on the holder after you turn off the wiper. Anyone have a good solution or tips for this?

TIA!

There should be little teeth if you pull the the arm off at the base. Re-position it on the teeth to adjust it so it pulls on it all the way.

Motor could be shot. I have the entire motor, bracket, and wiring for sale in the classified. Shoot me a PM if you want it.

Mine was missing the clip that slides up and snaps into the "catch" under the rear spoiler, mine used to catch on the window sill and just sit there...I can take pictures for you if you want. Now mine goes completely back up and snaps into place, it makes it look a lot better from the back and its easier when I roll down the rear window.

Mine would get that way periodically. It was necessary to clean the little plastic "ramp" that is parks on, and the corresponding tab on the arm - the grit scratches the plastic and it loses its slipperiness... Then a couple drops of silicone lube on both parts where they meet and it was good for another 6 months...

I've never operated a 2nd gen wiper, so I don't know if its the same, but on my 1st gen to get the wiper to go to the full upright position, I have to hold the button down for a split second. The motor pulls the wiper up into that "landing", but if I hold it for a little too long, it will do one full wipe of the window. I'm assuming it was designed that way, but it took me a long time to figure it out.

I do what Erich does. Quickly turn the wiper on then off again. It pulls it right up every time.
