Can I get a little cheese to go along with this Whine??

Two weeks into owning my 2003 4th Gen (Limited) I have to join in with the collective bitching about squeaks and rattles in a $40k truck.

I knew about the issues people were been having with the "well known" noises from the rear seat, headliner, sunroof, tailgate and dashboard. Yet I thought I might get away lucky with a sample that was built in April 2003... Nope.

I have a rattle in the drivers side door *somewhere* that I cannot pin down and I also have a clunk or groaning noise from where the tire jack resides when turning up an incline. I have no desire to have the dealer tear the truck up looking for the loose wires or whatever, so I guess I'll have to live with it. Just VERY IRONIC since I turned down the Tahoe Z71 for the 4Runner based on "Build Quality". Hehe.

I've owned Toyota's and Lexus in the past and I am sure in the big ways I won't be let down, but still...

 

Come on down...we'll head to the bootheel of NM and beat some sense into those rattles. They'll either fall off or tighten up.
