New set of Wheels for me!!

Just got these today, I know they're stock, but they're much better than my 15's. I'm so excited!! I can't wait to put bfg a/t's on them either tommorrow or the next day!! Except I'm having a really hard time tryin to get the running boards off, I freakin cut up my hand tryin to get the bolts off, they're on too tight. I tried spraying them down with wd-40, but that didn't seem to help that much. I'm gonna try to ask the place when I get my tires and see if they'll take them off for me.

They're so clean, not really any scratches at all.

So shiny

Lol, I'm in Indiana. I'm Mike's roommate JP.... He's already farted like a million times in my room!!! He's the one that sold me these rims, for a pretty good price too!!

I was in St. Louis yesterday, I woulda called you but didn't have ur #. We drove through that huge thunderstorm on Tuesday.

When you gonna come up here? You could probably just chill at our place, then we could go on a run the next day or somethin.

Well here's what happened today:

Made an appointment with discount tire, took it in, they wanted to charge me 713 for mounting and balancing disposal ect. with tax, and my dad talked them down to 685 so i saved like 30 bucks. Then I took the guy to go and look at the wheels, and he said I would need new lug nuts because the rims I have on now are steel and the new ones are alloy, or maybe the lugs are different size.

Well there was a dealership around the corner so I went there, and of course cuz of my luck when I showed the parts guy he said he didn't have them in stock. I asked if he could call around and he did, called 6 dealerships and nobody had them. So I had to freakin order them so they don't come in till Monday, but I have class so I can't go down (like an hour away) until Wednesday. So I was really dissapointed.

Then I went to the service department and asked the guy nicely how much it would cost to take my running boards off, the bastard wanted 110 bucks!!! I was like F that! and he was like fine 70, i'm like no, i'm not gonna pay 70 bucks just to take off 12 bolts thank you, and left

So back around my place, I asked the dealership and they quoted me 30 bucks. So i was like fine whatever, I just want these off so I can get my tires. So now the plan is gettin the running boards off on Monday, gettin the lugs and tires put on on Wednesday. So hopefully I"ll have them by then! Wish me luck!!

Shavad, I am gonna see about getting next saturday off work, or the next sat. So I can get up to get my lift installed. Rob will probably come with, then we can swing by your place and help ya out if you want!

I called that guy for the install, and he quoted me 275. How much is he charging you? Maybe you can come with us, and he will give me a better rate, since I still need to get an allignment afterwards. Then we can put on your bumper while we wait for my lift.

Mike-
he's charging me $100 for labor to put in my left front axle, and to put in the coilovers. and he knows a guy who will do the alignment right after for $50.

What kind of lift are you running? Is it just OME spacers, and springs? I know I paid $200 to have my spacers put in (front and rear). But yeah you have to negotiate with the guy .. pull the whole "I'm a poor student thing" ...

you know you might want to come up on a weekday, so you can get the alignment done too .. unless you can get it done cheaper. But yeah let me know which day your coming up, and I'll meet you there.

This is what will happen:

Mike: I'm a poor student, I'm asian and I have curly hair.....

The guy: Oh you deprived child!!!! I'll only charge you a dollar if you can spare it!

Hahaha

I'm pretty sure the alignment shop won't be open on saterday .. but ask the guy to be sure. as far as driving without the alignment, I honestly don't know. The guy recommeneded that I get it done at the same time ... so I don't know if its ok to drive it or not without the alignment
