Radio Antenna Replacement 4 2002 4Runner SR5
The local car wash got my radio power antenna and it came out bent over in 1/2.....clean....but broke in 1/2. It will still go down as far as to the broken part and even back up when I turn the radio on,but didn't want to ride around with it dangling in the wind and just finish breaking off as I went down the highway. So, where do I find a replacement and how do I remove the old one and install a new one ? "Thanks" for any helpful replies.

There's prolly better write-ups but here's a simpler one on this page...

If your mast is the same length as the new one you shouldn't need to open the antenna housing to remove broken pieces, but there should be something in the link above that helps you.
Many people get their antenna masts from http://www.ebay.com/itm/230369823100...84.m1497.l2649
There has been issues with some of the antennas that can be bought, interesting reading about that here:

Another thing you will hear about is the Taco whip mod. Personally I stuck to my retractable, but added a switch so I could leave it down when I wanted. With a newer 3rd gen like yours you may have an antenna in the rear that you can use most of the time and add a switch for the front antenna for those not-so-close days. Rock Slide did an excellent how-to for that. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/g...stereo-193751/
