quick tranny question

It's not on the runner, but it's a general transmission question. When the vehicle is shifted into drive, it "clunks" heavily into gear. When shifting into reverse, it's not so noticable. Shifting back into park is smooth. While driving it changes gears smoothly.

What could possibly be wrong with it? What can I do to fix it?

thanks

Might be nothing wrong at all, some auto just seem realy heavy handed when going into drive.....check the fluid level to be safe...ask some one with a like model and listen to it.....you can always as the dealer if other folks have noted that model having the same thing......

Mine does it too not to worry. Just make sure u got fluid as mentioned by the previous member, and that you perform a flush from time to time.
