quick question

hey fellas. i just replaced my k&n fipk and put on the factory air inlet on my '96 4runner sr-5. unbelievable how much dirt that the K&N let get into the intake. quick question on the amsoil filter. does the screen part face the front or back of the air filter housing. i think the screen faces the front of the truck--where the outside air enters. anyone know. i need to test it and make sure i have everything tightened properly.

The screen should face the firewall.

Unhappy

That's really odd Clin9383!!...when I ordered my Amsoil filter, I received it in 3 days. You might want to follow up your order.

Where can you buy the Amsoil TS-115(besides their web site) and how much ?? After installing my supercharger last week, my nice fancy looking polished Ingen intake was inducing waaaay too much air into the engine causing it to run too lean. I just finished re-installing my stock air box and as ugly as it is, it works sooooo much better.

it cost about about $32.00 and i received mines in two days. what a difference it makes in the overall performance of the engine.

nothing against K&N but i wished i had swithed a long time ago.

by the way for those of you who still have the K&N FIPK, i would suggest taking a look inside the plastic intake assembly and see if it needs cleaning. when i changed mines over to the AMSOIL, there was a lot of dirt and dust inside all the way up to the throttle body which really surprised me because i use to clean it every 25,000 miles or so, or whenever i saw a noticable dirt buildup.
