i would like to install power windows in my truck,(98 tacoma) do you guys recommend any kits? if so please let me know....gracias!

 

Basically there are 3 ways to go. One is with factory components. Stupidly expensive. Aftermarket kits come in 2 basic types - the motor/regulator assembly or the motor that turns the crank on the original regulator. The replacement regulator assembly units are generally considered to be better (stonger, quieter etc) but are considerably more money. They have to be designed for each car, no universal kits there. I've never had any problems with the cheaper universal motor-drive-only type, but I do avoid the "cheapest" models and get a little bit better one. They had one for $89 but it really looked cheap. They are easy to install - running the wires is harder than installing the parts.

 

100 bucks I'll send you a pair of power window "stuff" that came out of my 1990 4runner, They come out of the rear doors.
Not sure if they will work.

i want to do the factory conversion on this non power window and lock model. i want to use this wreked tacomas ' door panels and motors, what if anything will i need? i wonder if they plug into the computer or not?! please help!
