Power sunroof mods?

Power sunroof mods?
Are there any? I love the one touch open feature on mine but I hate having to hold the button down to get it to close HALF WAY. Then having to hold it down to close the rest of the way. Has anyone figured out how to make it a one touch close?

No kiddin?
I just figured that if it will do it one way it has to do it the other way. I am not electrically inclined but there are some bright individuals on this board. I was hoping one of em has figured it out.

You guys should think yourself lucky. On my Surf the power sunroof has two buttons. To open you just use the open button but to close you have to hold in a safety buton to use the close button. Apparantly some kind of safety feature to stop you catching the passengers head in the roof - seems to me that is a bad feature, much more fun catching their heads in the roof

Just thinking about this and I was wondering... How do the "auto" window switches work? Maybe you could get one of those switches and "gut" whatever electronics are in them and reconnect that to the "close" side of the sunroof switch... Think that would work?

Auto up/down for the passenger and rear is as simple as replacing the regular switches witht he auto ones...
You have to buy the switches for your driver side console + the one's for the other doors - or, you can simply replace yours and let the others fend for themselves...
I think that modifing one of these switches would be the easiest way to get a autoclose for the roof. However, the problem will be the half-closed interrupt. You would still have to hit the auto switch twice, but that's way better than having to hold the thing down the whole time.
