Yea, thoes are 3rd gen. They are easy to come by for now. 2nd gen almost never show up on ebay any more.

 

for those of you who have painted the orange part red, has the paint held up? i bought the $3 testors transparent candy apple red yesterday but before i actually put it on i wanted to get some info. on how it holds up. have yall had to go back and touch up or does it withstand weather pretty well? thanks in advance

 

I haven't had to touch mine up at all...and the only prep I did was wiping off the lense, and spraying one rather thick coat on there. Still looks great.

 

Mine faded (became dull and somewhat hazey) after a few years but I could buff them out easily every so often.
